Looking to convert a Bachmann 3500 gal. tender, can anyone advise if a chassis kit with springing/compensation is available? Wizard do the Mainly Trains etch, but this appears to be a rigid chassis.
thanks

There's a good all-singing, all-dancing one from High Level.
That would be an ecumenical matter.

Seconded! A joy to build too. That chassis also fits the MItchell Churchward tender body, only need to modify the brake pull rods.

Just ask for an e-mail notification - it's very good at alerting you when new supplies come in.
That would be an ecumenical matter.

IIRC the High Level Dean tender chassis is 3,000 gal. Don't know if he does a 3,500 or whether they are the same.

It's only the underworks that are needed; it almost doesn't matter what body you use.

But check your prototype - locos after overhaul could be given any suitable tender, but there was visible evolution in GW tender chassis design, for all capacities.

Indeed, the Finney kit now Brassmasters, includes a Dean 2500gal tender which had a 6' 6" + 6' 6" wheelbase. https://brassmasters.co.uk/gwr_2301_dea ... _0-6-0.htm

The High Level kit definitely states suitable for the Bachmann (and other makes) tender.
